Description

  1. The Lion and the Camel

Long ago, a lion lived in a dense forest. He had kept a crow, a fox and a leopard as his advisors. The lion hunted for food and shared it with his advisors. One day a camel lost his way and reached the lion's den. He requested the lion not to kill him. The lion said, "It's OK. You can live with us and be one of my advisors." The camel lived there happily. Soon the lion became weak and stopped hunting. The fox and the leopard could not afford much food for everyone. It became difficult for them to survive without food. One evening, the fox went to the lion and said, "Your Majesty, eat me and save your life." But the lion refused to kill him. Then came the leopard and asked the lion to eat him. But the lion refused to eat him too. The camel thought being the loyal friend the lion wouldn't kill him. So it is his duty to offer himself too. When the camel offered himself all the animals pounced upon him and killed him. The camel lost his life for his foolish offer...........
